Some 6 months (or earlier if you prefer) before the wedding, ring the vicar, to book an extended interview time to discuss more thoroughly all the details and arrangements for your wedding.
People who have been previously married are very welcome to contact the vicar to discuss whether it will be possible for them to be married in church.
Any person, who lives in Heath or Holmewood, may marry in Heath church.
A person who lives elsewhere, but regularly attends the church may also marry in Heath church if they are on the church electoral roll. (to qualify to go on the church electoral roll a person must have been worshipping regularly at the church for 6 months).
In addition couples may get married in church if they can fulfil one of these criteria:
1. They can marry in a parish church if one of them was baptised or confirmed there;
2. if one of them has ever lived in the parish for six months or more;
3. If one of them has at any time regularly attended public worship there for six months or more;
4. If one of the parents has lived in the parish for six months or more in the childs lifetime;
5. or had regularly attended worship there in the childs life;
6.Couples can also marry in a parish church where their parents or grandparents were married
Together with all the other couples to be married in All Saints this year you will be invited to attend a Marriage Preparation course in February.
Couples who have taken part in the course in previous years, have valued very much the opportunity to spend a few hours with each other, and to think about the details of their wedding service.
You may make free use of the church hymns books, or you may like to have your own orders printed.
Please give some thought to the hymns and music, readings and anything special you will require before coming to discuss details of your wedding, the vicar will be happy to help.
